So with the release of Modern Warfare 2 now been and gone, yeah I didn't notice it either, it's time to start speculating about what Call of Duty 7 will be about....early rumours say it's going to be Vietnam and will be developed by Treyarch for release in November 2010.

Lets just hope they learn from the failures of MW2 and bring back dedicated servers, I however have my doubts

I also heard Treyarch will be making the next one. Lets hope Activision dont somehow get them follow suit like IW.
Alot of people complained about World at War but seriously i dont get it. What did they do wrong? I mean its not a "bad" game by any means. Hell you can even drive certain vehicles. Thats a +1 from me right there. I enjoyed their work and i hope (fingers crossed) they dont completely screw up like IW. I mean if they want a bad name, lose customers, etc etc then follow IW.
I think this is make or break for Treyarch. There next release will either put MW2 and IW to shame or they will get greedy like IW and everyone will lose all respect for them. I hope they dont make the mistake.

Not a thing...just people moved into Modern Warfare with Call of Duty 4 and liked it then when World at War came out people thought is was a step backwards

Ah i see. Guess people were hoping for another MW instead they got another WW2. Still a good game i think. My wife likes it. (yes she plays games to) Luckily i never get her moaning at me spending too much time playing cause shes just as bad hehe

I bet she's better than you too Treyarch did more for the PC community than IW have ever done but I don't think they have creative freedom so CoD7 will probably just be a reskinned version of MW2

I really enjoyed WaW tbh. I had never played a WWII shooter before so it was a nice change for me

With regard to how much Treyarch are allowed to with the next game, according to Bash and Slash, IW have bugger all say in how Treyarch approach the multiplayer element of it. Treyarch are not owned at all by IW/Craptivision. They are an independant games studio that are just given the job of developing the next title.

I have a very strong feeling that normal dedicated servers will be available.

BTW did you know that the two head honcho's over at IW were fired last week! These guys were the creative force/drive behing the CoD franchise. Strange things are afoot
